Good conversation skills are very important in succeeding with women. Listed here are some tips to help you successfully talk to single women:

Balance Talking and Listening to Her

Be aware, as you engage in conversation, of balancing the exchange. In a good conversation, partners take turns talking. When a conversation is over, you should feel that neither of you dominated the conversation, that you had roughly equal time. That way, you get to know each other at about the same rate.

Good conversation is a balance of talking and listening. If the conversational ball has been in your court for some time, make a point of tossing it back to her.

If you're presenting a complicated idea, give the broad outlines first, and then wait for feedback before you go into the details. Otherwise, you may inadvertently hog the conversation for longer than you realize.

The more balanced your exchanges are, the more quickly you'll really get to know her and the more likely the relationship can progress.

Slow Down

Women generally talk around a problem before coming to a solution. For a woman, part of the story is likely to include how she perceives the problem, what people feel about it.

Women often vent the painful emotions caused by a difficulty. To men, taught to keep a stiff upper lip that may sound like "complaining which makes them impatient.

Men like to go right into the problem. Do that, and you may make her feel dominated and rushed. Also, you may miss a lot of the subtleties she sees. You may rush in because you've been trained to rescue women. Take it easy. You're not a caveman. Women want to consult, not have a solution decided for them.

Even if you come up with a good solution, expect a woman to mull over it. Beware of assuming she's stubborn. If you push your point in opposition to her thinking style, she's likely to feel frustrated and less powerful and not taken seriously.

Probably the most common misconception is the idea that what all these single foreign women want is to come to America.

The truth is that, while coming to America has an attraction for some women, this is not the main motivation for most foreign women seeking American husbands. Probably the majority of single foreign women are attracted to American men simply because they see them as better than the men at home. In many countries the lot of a woman is not very pleasant. They are not treated well by the men in their own cultures and they see Americans as men who treat their wives quite well.

In comparison with the men found in most countries, American men are a pretty good lot. They are certainly the most sought after men in the world by women seeking husbands. A lot of people jump to the conclusion that the main reason for this is that the women are all primarily interested in coming to America and that's their main motivation. This is untrue.

For the most part, the single foreign women looking for American husbands are simply seeking a good husband, first and foremost. For those living in poor countries the prospect of coming to America is a factor, but it's usually never the primary one. Most women are simply looking for good husbands. They want husbands who will provide good homes for them, who will treat them well and not beat them or run around on them. They get all too much of that at home and are seeking something better.

In the light of the O. J. Simpson case, sensation-seeking media paint the picture as though wife abuse is a far greater problem in the US than it really is. The truth is that, while there is a problem, it's not nearly as bad in America, as a percentage of total population, as it is in many other cultures. Foreign women know this. That's the major reason why so many of them are interested in finding an American husband.

The main reason why American men are so highly sought after as husbands is because American men, as a whole, treat women far better than do the men in most other countries. American men treat their wives extremely well, by world standards. In contrast to American women, who are widely viewed as the world's worst wives, American men are widely viewed as the world's best husbands. This is what makes them so attractive to single foreign women.

It's easy to change "just friends" into much, much more. Simply stop waiting around for the woman to make the first move. Let your close single woman friend(s) know that you want more from your relationship (for example: seduction, intimacy, romance!). Put the idea into her head that you want to be intimate. You have to stop spending lots of time with women -- becoming close, sharing secrets, being the confidante -- but not getting what YOU want.

Okay, you have the woman in mind. You're ready to make the change. It's time to surprise her. If you usually get together at the local pizzeria, invite her out for a cozy dinner at a real restaurant. If she usually comes over to your house to talk about her problems, when she gets there, make sure you have some sensuous music on, candlelight, and a bottle of wine nearby.
